Last year, whilst in Kandersteg, the Scout and Explorers met a Ugandan Scout Leader called Gidd’s. Since then we have been in regular contact with him. With this being the case, we decided this year that we should look at Uganda as part of our International Night.
In the weeks leading up to the international party, each section looked at different aspects of Uganda. On the night, the section put up a variety of displays so other sections could find out about Uganda.
On the night itself we split into 6 teams, all called African animals. Then the teams had three bases to go to and find out more about Uganda, these were: Kim’s game, Ugandan Flags & word search and a Ugandan quiz. We then had a sample of Ugandan food before listening (and playing) some Ugandan music! To end the night our teams had a giant relay game race! For many this was the final requirement to the International Partnership Award.
